About the artist
My name is Kristy. I specialize in Portrait Photography for children and families. I am an award winning portrait photographer based in Encinitas, California, but available to travel. I am passionate about photography and a few other things like family, friends, traveling, good food and my faith.
Before photography, I spent 7 years as an elementary school teacher. The experience I gained working with young children has been invaluable knowledge and I am amazed at how much it plays apart of my photography today. Additionally, the classroom experience and educational background taught me how to connect with your child and how to encourage and bring out the best in your child. I KNOW how to elicit expressions that define your child and how you see your child. I also KNOW how to capture it with my camera.
