This is the time of the year where Sophia, Grandpa and I take our road trip to Idaho. Sophia looks forward to it almost as soon as we leave my sister's house the year before. Unfortunately, Sophia and I made the trip ourselves. Grandpa passed away on Good Friday. He would have been proud and excited of Sophia this year. She was the co-pilot for the first time. She had to learn the route and find the gas stops, but most of all, she kept the gas millage log that he meticulously kept on our trips. We made the trek a little faster than usual and stayed a little longer and boy did we miss grandpa the entire time.
